Privacy Policy

Voiceasy processes your voice locally on your computer. Your audio never leaves your machine unless you explicitly opt in to cloud cleanup.
What Voiceasy Does
Voiceasy captures audio from your microphone while you hold the dictation hotkey, transcribes it to text using a local AI model (Whisper), and pastes the result into your active window.
Data Collection
We collect nothing. Voiceasy has no analytics, no telemetry, no tracking, and no user accounts.
Audio
- Your microphone audio is captured only while you hold the hotkey
- Audio is processed entirely on your device using the local Whisper model
- Audio is held in memory only during transcription, then discarded
- No audio is ever saved to disk or transmitted over the internet
Local Data
Voiceasy stores the following files locally on your computer in %APPDATA%/Voiceasy/:
- Transcription history — a log of your transcriptions (deletable at any time)
- Custom vocabulary — your personal word corrections dictionary
- Whisper model — the AI model downloaded on first run
None of these files are ever uploaded anywhere.
Optional Cloud Cleanup
If you provide an Anthropic API key and enable cloud cleanup, your transcribed text (not audio) is sent to Claude Haiku for grammar polishing. This is disabled by default and requires your own API key. See Anthropic's privacy policy.
Third-Party Services
| Service | When Used | What's Sent |
